Round cooking spoon, 30 cm olive wood

Cooking spoons made from olive wood are a sustainable alternative to plastic or metal spoons. The advantages are obvious: no scratching of pans and pots, no plastic coming into contact with food and, of course, sustainability.

The olive wood comes from selected plantations in Mediterranean countries. Attention is paid to sustainability and fair trade. Only when the olive trees no longer bear olives is the wood released for further processing.

The olive wood items in our Forena Shop are natural; no varnishes or chemicals are used. The surfaces are lightly oiled solely to protect the olive wood from drying out. This highlights the colours of the olive wood products, especially the contrasting grain. Depending on use, our customers should also do this 2-3 times a year. A sure sign that re-oiling is necessary (you can use practically any vegetable oil from your kitchen) is when the contrasting grain of the olive wood begins to fade. Now is the time for your new cooking spoon, plastic-free, sustainable and naturally recyclable.
