Frost-proof rain gauge made of flexible silicone

1. Product description

The Forena rain gauge is a durable, frost-proof rain gauge made of high-quality, flexible silicone. Thanks to the integrated bracket, the rain gauge can be mounted without additional accessories. The integrated scale enables precise measurements up to 45 l/m².

2. Scope of delivery 1 × Forena rain gauge (silicone)

3. Installation

Choose a location that:

•    is free of trees, roofs or obstacles

•    is at least 1.5 m away from the nearest object

•    can be installed vertically

•    avoids wind shadow (no wall directly next to it)

3.1 Mounting

The Forena rain gauge has an integrated mounting bracket.

Suitable mounting options:

•    Wooden pole

•    Stick

•    Metal pole

 

Installation instructions:

1.    Select a suitable location.

2.    Place the rain gauge with the integrated bracket on the pole, and you're done.

3.    Check that the measuring cup is vertical.

 

4. Use

1.    After a rain shower, go to the rain gauge.

2.    Read the integrated scale for mm or l/m² directly on the container.

3.    The value corresponds to the amount of precipitation that has fallen since the last emptying.

Note:

1 mm of rain corresponds exactly to 1 l/m².

4.1 Emptying

1.    Remove the rain gauge from the rod.

2.    Pour out all the water.

3.    Place it back in an upright position.

 

5. Care & cleaning

The Forena silicone rain gauge is particularly easy to care for.

Recommended:

•    Rinse occasionally with clean water

•    If dirty, turn inside out and clean with a cloth and a little water

•    Do not use harsh brushes or chemicals

 

The flexible silicone prevents:

•    Cracks

•    Breakage in frost

•    Breakage due to deformation, e.g. from playing football or children's hands

 

6. Frost and weather resistance

The rain gauge is:

•    100% frost-proof thanks to flexible silicone

•    resistant to UV radiation

•    suitable for year-round outdoor use

It is not necessary to remove it in winter.

 

7. Safety instructions

• Not a toy – not suitable for children under 3 years of age

• Do not use for hot liquids

• Do not pierce or cut with sharp objects

• Use only for the intended purpose

 

8. Environment & disposal

The Forena rain gauge is made of recyclable silicone.

Disposal via:

•    Recycling centre

•    Silicone recycling (depending on region)

Please do not dispose of in household waste.
